If you are looking for school incursions for primary or secondary students with a true "hands on" approach, you have found what you are looking for.  Dinosaurs and space related subjects are always popular with students of all ages.  If you are looking for an incursion that will excite, entertain, enthral and educate your students, we can satisfy your requirements.  All of our incursions use real items, reproductions or scale models to allow students to see the subject with their own eyes.  Talking about a subject only utilises a single path to the brain, whilst having a collection of artifacts opens up a number of paths to the learning centres of the mind.  Touching an object allows students to get a tactile memory of holding a dinosaur tooth, or a piece of space in their hands.  We try to exercise the students thoughts and imagination by allowing them to relate the sizes of our exhibits to more familiar objects, increasing their appreciation of the subject.

Meteorites and dinosaurs are forever interwoven. Meteorites have continued to rain upon planet Earth since its creation some 5 billion years ago, sometimes with horrendous consequences to all forms of life. In many ways we owe our very existence to meteorite impacts that allowed our ancestors to evolve over millions of years.

"Hands on Meteorites" and "Hands on Dinosaurs" provide incursions into both primary and secondary schools in the state of Victoria, Australia.  During our presentations, it is hoped to impress upon students the sheer magnitudes of scale involved in the subject matter. From meteorites the size of cities, to impacts large enough to alter the path of evolution itself and some of the largest and most ferocious animals this planet has ever seen.  Our talks are illustrated with examples of every type of meteoritic by-product and fossil remains of many of the most well known dinosaurs (triceratops, hadrosaur, stegosaurus and the mighty T-Rex). It is hoped that at least some of the students may be inspired into a lifetime interest in science and a desire to enquire about the world and the pursuit of knowledge.  Depending on the talk presented, students can see real material from the Moon, the planet Mars, one of the minor planets such as Vesta, or genuine teeth from dinosaurs and reproduction skulls from various early human ancestors.

Hopefully you will see our distinctive car driving around your suburb.
